Community Events

Bloom Credit Union hosts, sponsors and attends many community events throughout the year. Look here for upcoming events, and like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter to stay up to date on Bloom events.

Coopersville Nightime Christmas Parade

Coopersville has been doing this for a long time so they know what they are doing.  Right down Main Street, which is really kind of a cool atmosphere.  It's always the first Friday in December, so it's December 2.  Hope to see you there.

Hudsonville Christmas Parade

It's now a night-time parade in downtown Hudsonville, on November 19 at 6:30pm.  The Bloom team will be there with treats for the kids.

Free Community Shred Day 2022

Bloom Credit Union helped members and neighbors in our branch communities get rid of their extra paper and protect their personal information, all while helping the environment!  There were at times lines of cars on October 29 at our Wyoming office (1414 Burton St. S.W.), from 9am-noon.  We'll likely do another one next fall.

Hudsonville Urban Hay Day 2022

We had a great fall day playing games with prizes for the little ones in downtown Hudsonville on Oct. 15, from 11am-3pm.  Everyone enjoyed fresh donuts, pumpkin carving, giveaways, live entertainment and more.

Wyoming Trick or Treat Trail

Lamar Park in Wyoming on October 8 was kid crazy from 4-6pm.  Way to go Wyoming Parks & Recreation department organizing this always fun event.  2,500 little ones, most of them dressed up for Halloween, with a trail lined with local businesses and organizations (like Bloom Credit Union) handing out free stuff.  Can't wait until next year...so fun!

Saturday Slip-n-Slide 2022

It was one of the few rainly days in August on the 13th, but everyone who still came out still seemed to have a great time at Rosewood Park.

Coopersville Car Show 2022

We've had some amazing sunny days for the Coopersville Car Show and Summerfest over the years.  2022 was a bit on the wet side...but it's always fun to hang out in friendly small Michigan towns like Coopersville.

Coopersville Kids Fest 2022

I'm not sure a kid in Coopersville misses this event, which is always the Thursday before the Car Show Summerfest weekend.  Bloom Credit Union is proud to be a long time sponsor of Coopersville's biggest week.

Hispanic Festival 2022

We really look forward to what is likely the best festival all year!  Certainly the best food.  And Bloom Credit Union is super happy to sponsor the Mercado portion of the event.

Creston After Dark 2022

It's all about Keeping Creston Funky and supporting it's thriving arts community at this super fun event on July 30, 2022.  Community organizations, live entertainment, local food trucks, flame throwers, cocktails in the middle of Plainfield Ave., lots of artists showing their work...Creston After Dark rocks!

Local First Coffee Hours

According to the research firm Civic Economics, “when West Michigan consumers choose a locally owned business over a non-local alternative, 73% more money stays in the community.” That translates into a better economy, more jobs and higher wages!  So for the second year in a row, we've sponsored the Local First Coffee Hours, which are held the second Friday of each month.  It's a great place to connect with other local business folks and hear about all the great things happening at Local First.  The picture is from the August 2022 event at MadCap on E. Fulton.

CNA 3rd Annual Garden Tour

As Bloom Credit Union we're all about helping gardens grow further and people thrive financially.  So it only makes sense to partner with great organizations like the Creston Neighborhood Association for their Annual Garden Tour, this one on July 16, 2022.

CNA Town Hall Breakfast

We're always happy to help sponsor the Creston Neighborhood Association's Town Hall Breakfast.  This most recent one was on May 14, 2022.

Coopersville Christmas Parade 2021

Our crew getting ready to hit the parade route right down Main Street in downtown Coopersville.  Hershey bars for everyone!  Olaf approved!

Holiday Parades 2019

We had great weather for the Hudsonville Holiday Parade on the morning of November 23.  It was great to see the nice turnout.  We of course also wouldn't miss Michigan's longest running nighttime parade!  It's in downtown Coopersville on Friday, December 6 at 7pm.  Stop by for some hot chocolate and Bloom Credit Union Hershey candy bars!  It's a really neat scene on Main Street, and a great way to get some fresh air and get into the holiday spirit!

Fork Fest 2019

Bloom Credit Union was happy to help sponsor this now famous Local First event on October 25.  It's held at Romence Gardens every year and is a truly unique experience.  The greenhouses are filled with live music, art and a massive celebration of the local food scene.

Urban HayDay And Trick or Treat Trail!

Urban HayDay in downtown Hudsonville was a little cold this past fall as Bloom Credit Union sponsored the Lumberjack Show!). On the same day, we gave out pumpkin seeds at Wyoming's Trick or Treat Trail (formerly Pumpkin Path) in Lamar Park.  A little cold didn't slow the little ones down!

2019 Hispanic Festival

This may be the best festival for food all year!  It's a great time on Calder Plaza with live music, cultural dancing, kids activities, festive drinks and an artisan market. Our credit union folks really look forward to it every year, and this year we sponsored the Marketplace.

Creston After Dark 2019

This July 13 event brought out a great crowd just down the street from our Plainfield branch.  Live music, local art and food and lots of community spirit as we "Keep Creston Funky!"
